Time Zones for Canada & the U.S.

Seeing as this is a new site with new features and an even newer board... there will be questions! so feel free to post them here.

Time Zones for Canada & the U.S.

Postby janet » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:33 am

Time Zones for Canada:

http://www.timetemperature.com/tzca/can ... zone.shtml

This website talks about and displays Standard Times (runs 1st Sunday in November to 2nd Sunday in March) and Daylight Savings Times (runs 2nd Sunday in March to 1st Sunday in November) across Canada.

It also discusses that most of Saskatchewan stays at Central Time year round; there are a few exceptions.

The website shows the current time in each time zone and you can also find out the exact time in a specific city/town (I had to check, they are missing my hometown but every other town around us is on the list; figures LOL)

Time Zones for the United States:

http://www.timetemperature.com/tzus/time_zone.shtml

Same as for Canada, the website talks about and displays Standard Times (runs 1st Sunday in November to 2nd Sunday in March) and Daylight Savings Times (runs 2nd Sunday in March to 1st Sunday in November) across America.

It also states that Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Saving Time.

The website shows the current time in each time zone and you can also find out the exact time in a specific city/town.

Yep! It sure is .. We're Pacific time here, but depending on the time of year, we only have to drive across the Hoover Dam into Arizona to be 2 hours behind you. lol

You're not the only one who needs help with the time zones, Kate.
Hopefully people will learn to check in here and look it up for themselves instead of getting others to do it for them.
We had this on the old forum and I know it was very helpful to a number of people.
